Wear the department’s uniform, very visible representative who primary responsibility is to patrol assigned areas on foot, bicycle or motorized vehicle, responding promptly to emergencies or calls for service.
Provide for public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting people and property, enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promoting good community relations.
Conducts thorough preliminary investigations of all offenses.
Prepare written reports and testify in court to present evidence or act as witness in traffic and criminal cases.
