- Wear the department’s uniform, very visible representative who primary responsibility is to patrol assigned areas on foot, bicycle or motorized vehicle, responding promptly to emergencies or calls for service.
- Provide for public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting people and property, enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promoting good community relations.
- Conducts thorough preliminary investigations of all offenses.
- Prepare written reports and testify in court to present evidence or act as witness in traffic and criminal cases.
