Field Intelligence Officers primary responsibility is to collect, compile, analyze and disseminate intelligence information related to criminal activity and other jurisdictions that may adversely affect the city.
Works closely with civilian and National Guard crime analysis who conduct systematic analysis of identifying and analyzing crime patterns or trends. The information helps other units to deploy resources in a more effective manner and assist investigative units in identifying and apprehending suspects.
Responsible for attending monthly meetings that address gang activity and homeland security related issues.
